Lacrosse - Boys Varsity vs. Trinity Pawling

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 26, 2014

Event Recap:
Berkshire welcomed Trinity Pawling to campus Saturday afternoon.  Going into the game the Bears had won 3 of their last 4 games and were looking to keep up their winning ways. From the very beginning of the game it was clear that Berkshire’s defense and goalie Connor Shalleck had showed up to play. Cooper Fersen, Hunter Reynolds, Ryan Savage, Andre Bogdanovics, and Matty Wieczorek were great all day long anchoring Berkshire’s defense.  The Bears took the early lead and never looked back as they controlled the game throughout in route to a 6-3 win.  Berkshire showed a balanced attack in breaking down the Trinity Pawling defense.  Connor Waldron led all Berkshire scorers with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Mitchell Andres (1 goal, 2 assists), Charlie Corcoran (2 assists), Andre Bogdanovics (1 assist), Noah Arin (1 goal), Jimmy McKee (1 goal), and Sam Merritt (1 goal) all contributed with points.  Sam Hahn had a great day at the faceoff X picking up 8 ground balls and Connor Shalleck had 13 saves in the net in a great performance.  Berkshire will head down to Gunnery on Monday to compete for the McKee Cup.
