Golf - Coed
vs. Kingswood Oxford School
vs. The Williston Northampton School
Wyantenuck Country Club
|Date:||April 26, 2014|
The Golf Gods smiled down on the Bears on Saturday as after the morning showers ended the sky opened up with some partly sunny periods and near perfect golf conditions. The group responded by posting the best team score on Wyantenuck in several years, a 395 for five scores. Unfortunately the Kingswood Oxford squad had a nice afternoon as well shooting a 391 for the day. So the Bears walked away with a split as the beat the Williston team 391 to 433.
George Blinick had a career Berkshire round shooting a four over par 74, Troy Bernier also had a career round 78 along with Henry Manley’s 78; followed by Edeline Loh’s 80 and Craig Puffer’s 85. It was a good day given that conditions thus far have been less than favorable. Maybe spring finally has sprung and the golf will continue to improve.
