Baseball - Boys Varsity vs. Wilbraham & Monson Academy

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 28, 2014

Event Recap:

Berkshire hosted Wilbraham on a beautiful Monday afternoon. Jackson Aldam '14 started on the mound for the Bears and pitched a brilliant game. He allowed one run in the first inning, but settled in and threw six 1,2,3 innings in a row. Aldam challenged hitters all day and gave his team a great chance to win.  The Bears' offense responded in the bottom half of the first with three runs of their own.

Alden Boldt '14 started the game with a walk and Nate Summers '14 followed with line drive single.  Boldt scored on a double  steal and Isiah Nunez '14 followed with a double down the line to score Summers.  Nunez came around to score on a fielders choice hit by Jon Chudacoff '14 later in the inning. That was all the scoring the Bears would need on the day, but they did add a couple more in the fifth for insurance runs.  Brian Rodriguez '16 and Bryan Gerstenfeld '14 also had hits on the day for the Bears.

There is no rest for the Bears.  We play again tomorrow against Salisbury at home.   Thanks for the support today and we hope to see you out there today for a big division game.
