Event Recap:Berkshire traveled to Millbrook on Saturday for a division matchup. The Bears took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning but the Mustangs responded with two of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie the game and then took a one run lead in the second. Berkshire would tie it up in the fourth when Jack Scarfoni '17, who was pinch running for Sam Perkins '14, scored on an error by the second baseman. Millbrook swung the bats well in the fifth and scored four runs off of Jackson Aldam '14. The Bears should some grit and rallied with two outs in the sixth to take the lead. Nate Summers '14 started the rally by reaching on an error and Alden Boldt '14 followed with an RBI double to bring him home. Stephen DePietto '14 walked to make it first and second, which brought the tying run to the plate. On a 3-2 count Isiah Nunez '14 launched a three-run homerun to tie the game which sent the Bears on the bench into a frenzy. The Bears added two more later in the inning when Bryan Gerstenfeld launched a two-run homerun and soon after, Brian Rodriguez '16 stroked an RBI double that scored Cyrus Rothwell-Ferraris '14. Will Aldam '14 came in relief of Jackson and shut down the Mustangs in the two final frames. It was an exciting comeback for the Bears and it was great to see several Bears put some good swings on the ball. Nunez, Jon Chudcoff '14, and Gerstenfeld all had two hits on the day and the team also played solid defense all game, making all but one routine play. Berkshire now heads to Williston on Monday for another league game.
