Event Recap:Berkshire traveled to Suffield for an important league matchup. Jackson Aldam '14 started on the mound for Berkshire and battled through four innings. Aldam worked with men on base in almost every inning and had to get out of a bases loaded jam in the first and left two more runners stranded in the second. He also had a huge play in that inning at the plate on a passed ball to get the out at home and brought the inning under control for the Bears and stopped the bleeding. Ian Rasmussen '14 did a fine job in relief of Aldam and kept the Tigers scoreless in two innings of work and in the process earned his first win of the season. The turning point in the game for Berkshire was the fifth inning. Suffield was leading 4-1 at the top of the frame, but Berkshire exploded for eight runs in the inning. The Bears started their rally by taking advantage of an error and two walks to load the bases. Cyrus Rothwell-Ferraris '14 then came through with a two run double. Jonathan Chudacoff '14 got in the action with an RBI single of his own. After a few more walks in the inning Alden Boldt '14 delivered with a two out 2 RBI single to make the score 9-4. The Berkshire offense kept he pressure on in the sixth inning by scoring two more insurance runs. Max Way '15 and Will Aldam '14 closed out the game to give Berkshire a hard fought win on the road against a talented Suffield squad. The Bears have a busy week ahead with three league games, starting with Canterbury on Wednesday. Thanks for the parents who came for their support and snacks after the game.
