Baseball - Boys Varsity
Berkshire School has a rich baseball tradition — the school has fielded a team every year since Seaver Buck founded the Berkshire in 1907, and the crack-of-the-bat can still be heard under the Mountain over one hundred years later.
The Bears play a 20-game regular season, which includes 14 games in the Western New England Prep Baseball League (WNEPBL).
The 2013 Berkshire squad put together another successful season with a league record of 10-3 (overall 11-5). With their performance, the Bears earned one of four spots in the league playoffs, the team's second post-season bid in three years. With 13 returners and some quality additions for the 2014 season, the Bears look to be competitive in the league once again.
Playing quality baseball is our focus, and we are looking for players who want to compete, work hard, and do what is necessary for team success. We prepare our players for the next level, which includes working with each player interested in playing in college to find a school and program that is a good fit. Every season we work hard to:
- guide our players to achieve individual goals
- teach responsibility and discipline
- model good sportsmanship
- instill a strong work ethic and team attitude
