Kyle Kobis ’13 had a solid start for Berkshire as they took on Salisbury Wednesday afternoon, but the Knights’ bats were too much for the Bears. The Knights scored in bunches, putting up crooked numbers in the second, fourth, and sixth innings. The Bears’ offense tried to counter—Alden Boldt ’14 and Isaiah Nunez ’14 each had hits in the early innings—but they couldn’t get things going until the sixth when Nate Summers ’14, Ryan Summers ’13, and Adam Tracey ’14 strung together some hits and knocked in three runs collectively.
Brian Rodriguez ’16 and Ian Rasmussen ’14 both made appearances on the mound in relief for Kobis. Rodriguez only let up one earned run and struck out two, and Rasmussen let up no runs in the final inning. However, the damage had been done and the Bears couldn’t continue the offensive spark from sixth, falling to Salisbury 12-3.
