Berkshire traveled to NMH upon their return from Parents' Weekend. Off to a slow start after the long weekend, the Bears found themselves down 2-0 at the half. After making several adjustments to positions, Berkshire regained control of the ball and played well in the second half. Though she had been moved back to defense (playing the position for the first time in her career) Emmi Graebner '14 stepped up on the attack when the Bears drew a penalty corner. Graebner received a cross pass from Olivia Smith '14 at the top of the circle and drove the ball past the NMH goalie with precision and force. Despite several excellent chances at another goal and much improved play, the Bears were unable to overtake the strong NMH squad, and fell 3-1 after a questionable shot from the top of the circle drove past Berkshire goalie Addie Bullock '14 in the final minute of play. Bullock made eight saved in the game, including a diving save on a rebound in the first half.
As they approach the end of their season, Berkshire takes on Loomis at home on Saturday, followed by a home game against the Gunnery and a final game away at Westminster next week.
