The Bears faced the Canterbury Saints at home Saturday and battled for a 2-1 win. Recovering after two difficult games on grass, Berkshire was happy to be back on the turf and came out ready to work. The first tally of the game came 10 minutes into the first half as Renee Dreher '15 passed the ball to senior captain Hattie Waldron low on the post. Waldron tipped the ball past the Saints' goalie to take the lead.
The Bears entered the half with a 1-0 lead, but quickly found themselves tied as Canterbury snuck the ball past Addie Bullock '14 just 3 minutes into play. As the clock wound down, Reilly Kennedy '15 entered the game just in time to save the day. Kennedy caught a pass from Dreher and carried the ball through two defenders before sweeping the ball past the netminder for the game winner. Bullock had four saves on the day.
