On the road once again, the Bears faced Rumsey Hall and played a hard-fought game to a 2-2 tie. It took Berkshire some time to adjust to playing on a grass field, but Hannah Honan '15 fought her way through a crowd in front of the net to receive a pass from Captain Hattie Waldron '13 and scored the game's first talley just 7:30 into play.
The Bears' defense was playing strong in front of the net but fell to the Blue Dogs' speed as the half wound down, bringing the game to 1-1. In the second half, Rumsey was thwarted early on as Addie Bullock '14 made a diving save. Rumsey snuck one past Bullock moments later on a penalty corner to take the lead. Berkshire answered back as the game came to a close; despite an elbow injury, Renee Dreher '15 hammered a shot home to the cheers of the Bears on the sideline. Berkshire nearly had the win off a beautiful shot from Emmi Graebner '14 to the top corner of the net, but the goal was called back. After 60 minutes of play, Bullock has 13 saves.
The Bears return to their home turf for a 1:30 match-up with Canterbury on Saturday.
