Field Hockey - Girls Junior Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: September 29, 2012

Score:0 - 1

Event Recap:

The JV Field Hockey team fell to Kent in a hard-fought 1-0 game. The Bears has a slow start and were unable to defend an early offensive attack from Kent, allowing a odd-man rush on goaltender Addie Bullock '14 that resulted in the game's only tally. Kent played a fast-paced game, combining quickness and powerful passing, and it took the Bears the better part of the first half to adjust. In the second half of the game, seasoned veterans Hattie Waldron '13, Olivia Smith '14, and Serena Menges '14 helped their team play with more fire and the Bears had several outstanding chances. Though unable to convert those chances to goals against the excellent play of the Kent net-minder, Berkshire worked hard throughout the half on both ends of the field and Bullock had 7 saves in net. The Bears are preparing for another home match-up, this time facing the perennial power of Hotchkiss, before heading back on the road to Williston.
