Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Away

Date: October 27, 2012

Result:Win
Score:3 - 2

Event Recap:

After the win against IMS, the Bears had a quick turn around and traveled to Salisbury.  The Bears came out ready to play and quickly scored a goal in the first five minutes of the half.  In a scramble inside the goalie's box, Dillon Cunningham found the ball at his feet.  And with some quick foot work was able to put a strong shot in right corner of the net.  Salisbury responded well and began to pressure the midfield.  For the next 20 minutes, both terms were locked in a battle for the midfield with each term unable to control possession for very long.  Salisbury, on a direct kick from the left side, was able to tie the game near the end of the half.  The Bears came out slowly in the second half and gave up a sloppy goal to go down one goal.  The Bears' defense continued to play aggressively and effectively kept Salisbury out of our end.  Led by Chris Kreke and Barclay Gammil, the midfield worked the ball to the forwards.  And on a nice shot from the just outside the 18, Patrick Frey tied the game at two.  Fittingly, the winning goal came from the defense.  On a misplayed free kick by Salisbury's goalie, Quinton Pollack astutely shot from half field on an open net.  The Bears were able to hold onto the lead and leave Salisbury with their ninth victory of the season.
