Event Recap:

14th out of 18 schools

The team went on a life learning Adventure to Hebron Maine to run in the D-2 New England Championship race.  We left Berkshire at noon of Friday and traveled to team member Wes Lickus' house where his family fed us a fabulous pasta meal with all the fixings.  The warmth of their fireplaces was almost as awesome as the warmth of their kindness and it was a great ending to our first day. The kids laughed and had a great time together.  Up early the next day the harriers had breakfast together and them we went to the Hebron campus to walk the hilly and woods dominated championship trail.  The varsity boys who competed for the Bears were Sam Sabin, Dylan O'Connor, Peter Giordano. Derrick Burt, Cody Turner, Nate MacKenzie and James Donovan.  The boys who competed in the JV race were Dan Kim, Sasha Podolsky, Wes Lickus, Alex Fuller and Tyler Stewart.  The kids ran their best and defeated Salisbury, Hebron, Thayer and Kent.

We all were thrilled when we witnessed Berkshire's Tara Blundell become New England Champion by finishing first in the girl's race.  Congratulations to Coaches Anderson and Morgan for guiding her to such a great feat.
