The Bears hosted Suffield on a beautiful fall weekend in the Berkshires. Heading into the game the Bears were ready for the challenge, but unfortunately did not get into a rhythm in the first half. Berkshire was usually able to put two passes together but the third was either off mark or broken up by Suffield. Berkshire only managed four shots on goal in the first half and the play went back and forth for much of the forty minutes. The second half was a different story. Berkshire made several adjustments and really put pressure on the Tigers' defense. The Bears tallied fifteen shots in the half and were able to keep the ball in Suffield's half for most of the play.
The defense once again had a solid game, with Allie Brazo '14 making several great reads to keep the ball in the opponents' half. Keunna Dill '14 and Ana Alvarenga '15 both had several dangerous opportunities, but we were not able to find the back of the net. The Bears now look to keep building on the style of play that we played in that final half. Despite the frustrating finish, the girls did so many great things in that half and it is apparent that they are capable of some great soccer going forward. The next challenge is Canterbury on Saturday.
