Soccer - Girls Varsity
Captains: Allie Brazo, Camryn Biasin, Hannah Cooke, and Keunna Dill
From September through November, the Berkshire Girls Soccer Program instills in each player the values of teamwork, tenacity, and good character, both on and off the field.
The varsity girls are a member of the NEPSAC Class B Conference and play a competitive schedule, including top Class A and Class B teams.
With several players competing at the highest levels of women’s college soccer and many others continuing to play well beyond Berkshire, the
The 2012 Girls Varsity Soccer team had an outstanding season. They finished the regular season with 9-4-1 record which enabled the team to reach the Class B New England playoffs for the second year in a row. With a hard fought win over Wilbraham Munson in the quarterfinals, the Bears faced The Rivers School in the semi-finals. Although the Bears did not advance to the finals, the quarterfinal win
was a big step forward for the program.
In 2013 the Bears will once again strive for a playoff spot in the Class B tournament. With eleven players returning and the addition of several talented new students, the Bears have high hopes for the
season and playoffs. The focus early on in the season will be building team chemistry and playing quality soccer. Seventeen players will be attending a preseason camp in late August to get a jumpstart on the season. We hope this experience will bring us together as a team and help us to prepare for our demading prep schedule, which starts on September 18th with a rematch of the quarterfinal game against Wilbraham Munson.
