Captains: TBA

From September through November, the Berkshire Girls Soccer Program instills a mentality in each player of dedication, teamwork, tenacity, and good character both on and off the field.  Whether a player is interested in playing NCAA Division I soccer or simply refining her skills enough to earn a starting job on the JV squad, Berkshire’s coaching staff is dedicated to the development of all of its players.

The varsity girls are a member of the NEPSAC Class B Conference and play a competitive schedule, including top Class A and Class B teams.  The varsity team practices for two hours four times a week with games on Wednesday and Saturday. With ten of the eleven players on the field not touching the ball at any one time, there’s a significant focus on movement without the ball, creating space, and quick passing to advance play.  Practices also consist of drills and games geared toward improving a player’s skill in a specific area—be it one touch passing, taking on an opponent in a one-on-one situation, or defending a wing attack.

With several players competing at the highest levels of women’s college soccer and many others continuing to play well beyond Berkshire, the Berkshire soccer program hopes to instill a sense of joy for the game and provide the necessary skills to take you as far as you’re willing to go.
