Came to Berkshire: 2012
Where does your passion for teaching come from? My passion for teaching at Berkshire comes from my own experience at boarding school. Going away to school was the best decision that I’ve ever made and being in a challenging and supportive community fundamentally formed who I am and who I wanted to be. In returning to a boarding school, I wanted to be able to give back and be part of that experience for someone else.
What excites you the most about teaching at Berkshire? My favorite part about teaching at Berkshire is getting to interact with the students on a regular basis. We have a student body that is thoughtful, fun-loving, but above all, nice and I truly enjoy each and every interaction that I get to have with the students.
What is your favorite tradition at Berkshire? My favorite tradition is the dessert and dancing reception after Prize Night.
How would you describe the Berkshire community? The Berkshire community is a special one, bringing both a deep desire to achieve and improve with a very grounded sense of what it takes to get there. Our students and faculty are constantly better themselves and those around them, but the community strikes a perfect balance by also bringing a very real humanity and humility.
