Meet our Office

Dan earned a BA in history from Middlebury College.  After graduation, he began a short career in the financial service industry working in Boston and Chicago.  He grew tired of city and corporate life and dreamed of living in a place ripe with outdoor opportunities.  When he interviewed at Berkshire in 2008, Dan was struck by the energy on campus and the enthusiasm that the students exhibited for their school and world around them.  He remembers fondly his time at Tabor Academy and recognized that he could have an equally positive experience as an educator at a school like Berkshire. 

At Berkshire, Dan works in admissions, teaches Economics, advises students, serves at the House Head for Allen Dormitory, assists the girls’ ice hockey team, and coaches boys’ 3rds lacrosse.  Aside from his formal responsibilities, Dan enjoys exposing students to the mountain classroom.  He leads a group of intrepid souls called the Wolfpack on early morning hikes and outdoor community service projects every week.  Dan is also the faculty advisor to the Fly Fishing Club. 

When he is not on campus, Dan can be found fishing the local rivers as well as hiking and skiing in the surrounding mountains.  In the summer months, Dan enjoys competing in triathlons and traveling to Montana and Cape Cod.
