Where does your passion for teaching come from? Both of my parents were educators and they instilled in me a passion for learning. I have always enjoyed discussing history and how it impacts our modern society and want to share that with our students.
What excites you the most about teaching at Berkshire? The students and the awesome surroundings of Berkshire make it easy to go to work every day. Walking out of your front door and seeing the beautiful mountain never gets old. The smaller class sizes also make it an optimum learning environment to get everyone involved.
What is your favorite tradition at Berkshire? Graduation and Prize Night. While this is obviously not unique to Berkshire, seeing the number of young alums who come back each and every year to cheer on their old schoolmates is awesome. It speaks to the type of strong bonds that are formed here under the mountain.
How would you describe the Berkshire community? The minute you walk on to campus and meet our students you cannot help but feel how welcoming and friendly the place is. Our students go out of their way to be nice to each other and to create a cooperative learning environment.
