An Adirondack Neighbor

Twiggs and I are neighbors in the Adirondacks and I have never made a trip there without discovering someone else who knows Twiggs.... the neighbor, the roofer, a counselor across the lake who graduated from Berkshire, the butcher at the Meat Market, the tree man, the director at the art league, the local carpenter, the county assembly woman.  He is the best representative of Berkshire we could ever wish for!  He always has a bit of news about the north country, sharing the local weekly paper and explanations of what spending long cold winters there can do to folks!  If you need a guided tour of any place between exits 30-33 of I-87, information about what weekend the Willsboro library sale happens, the name of the play at the summer theater or the person to call if you need to fix a broken window, what war ships have been sunk in the lake, or the times for the Charlotte Ferry, just ask Twiggs. He manages to meet and greet more folks in 2 months then most of us do in a year and will share wonderful stories of how he met every friend in Essex and how their small worlds tie to other friends.  His enthusiasm for where he spends his summers is contagious to all who visit.
