Twiggs Myers: Share your Stories

On Friday, May 11 at 11:30 AM, the school will dedicate the lobby of Berkshire Hall to Twiggs Myers, honoring his nearly 60-year commitment to the institution.  Iconic teacher and coach from 1953 - 1995, Mr. Myers now serves as the school's archivist and on the Board of Trustees.  We invite you to share your stories about Twiggs here.

A few days ago at lunch, Twiggs wondered out loud why everyone today seems to have a title.  “Doesn’t anyone around here teach anymore?”  he said, flashing his devious smile between bites.  Twiggs doesn’t like titles.  They block the view.  Twiggs liked and respected Art Chase (former Dean of Faculty) because Art liked clearing brush.  I like and respect Twiggs for the same reason.  A great teacher, he cuts through crap quicker than a sharp axe.
