The dynamic senior trio of Britt Brown, Sam Clougher and Sam Friedman took home top honors at the Sabin Entrepreneurial Prize Night recently for their business plan to connect musical artists with local venues. Students in two IV Form English classes made a sweet connection to Berkshire's history when they read "Sugar Weather" by legendary Berkshire teacher Art Chase, then wrote their own syrup-inspired poems after a visit to Chase Sugaring House to witness the process first-hand. This Friday, the Center for Global Initiatives screens Girl Rising, an inspiring documentary about the power of education to overcome the traditional subjugation of women and girls in the developing world. The film will be shown in Allen Theater at 7:30 PM and is open to members of the extended Berkshire community.

Kyle Lockwood '10 scored three goals and had an assist to lead Bowdoin to a 5-3 win over Hamilton in the first round of the NESCAC men's hockey tourney. He will face fellow Berkshire alum, Brendan McGovern '12, on March 2nd when Bowdoin and Middlebury face off in the NESCAC final. Click here for a video highlight.

Janet Bouteiller and Clive Davis are this year's recipients of the Kellogg Vacation Grant, awarded annually by peer vote to two members of the Berkshire faculty or staff. Established by Elizabeth Kellogg in loving memory of her husband, James C. Kellogg '33, the criterion states, "It is sincerely hoped that this money will be spent on vacation away from the School and enjoyed by the recipient ... on something that is absolutely fun and relaxing."

The Boys Soccer team defeated Exeter to claim the New England Class A Championship. Team co-captain Zeiko Lewis '13 scored both goals in the dramatic 2-0 win. The title caps a historic 19-0-1 season. The win is particularly fitting because the Championship cup is named in honor of legendary Berkshire coach Jack Stewart. Click here to view photos and read the game recap.

Alassane Kane '09 continues to dominate in the Patriot League as a senior soccer player on the American University team. Named to the 2011 NSCAA All-Regional team in 2011 and honored as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year in 2012, Kane hopes to lead his team to the championships again.
