Berkshire is the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Safe Sports School award, only the fourth secondary school in the nation to receive this distinction. Ali Vakos '10 scored two goals to help top-ranked Plattsburgh claim their third Women's Hockey ECAC West crown, earning them an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney. Ali was named to the All-Tournament team. Click here to learn more.

Kyle Lockwood '10 scored three goals and had an assist to lead Bowdoin to a 5-3 win over Hamilton in the first round of the NESCAC men's hockey tourney. He will face fellow Berkshire alum, Brendan McGovern '12, on March 2nd when Bowdoin and Middlebury face off in the NESCAC final. Click here for a video highlight.

The Boys Hockey and Girls Basketball teams are both headed into the postseason and will be playing quarterfinal games this Wednesday. (NOTE: Hockey will be streamed LIVE on the Berkshire website). In addition, a number of ski racers have qualified for USSA/FIS Finals and Championships in March. Click here for details.

Elise Chauvel '15 and Eliza Stichter '16 are honored at co-Athletes of the Week for their consistently strong performance and commitment to the sport of Alpine Racing. Both new to Berkshire this year, they have been instrumental to the success of the team in the New England Class A division and USSA/Tristate league. Click here to see a short video.

The No. 10-ranked Northeastern Women's Hockey team upset No. 2-ranked Boston College in the annual Beanpot tournament yesterday. Kendall Coyne '11 was named tourney MVP, and teammate Kelly Wallace '09 contributed two points. Click here to learn more.

Bella Sinsigalli '13, a defenseman on the Girls Varsity Hockey team, is nominated by her coach, Mrs. Gappa, as Athlete of the Week. Both the boys and girls alpine racing teams claimed giant slalom championship titles in the Brigham Ski League on Wednesday, with five of the top eight placing in the top-11, and all eight varsity boys finishing in the top-18. Click here for details.

Though baseball season is still months away, Ryan Summers '13 has made much of the off-season, competing as a member of the Kansas City Royals Scout team and participating in the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, FL. Next year, he will compete for the University of Louisville, which competes in the Big East and was ranked 42nd last year in the country. Click here to read more.

The Boys Hockey team, anchored by goalie Tim Ernst '13, claimed the Avon Christmas Classic Tournament championship trophy after defeating Avon, Tabor, Trinity-Pawling and Kent.

Zeiko Lewis '13 was named an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association, and selected to the Boston Globe's All-Scholastic team. He will continue his illustrious soccer career at Boston College next year.

The ski racing teams put aside rivalry when they traveled to Salisbury School this week for a combined dry-land training session. Running, plyometrics and cross-fit cycles were a prelude to a spirited game of Swedish, a variant of dodgeball.
