Advanced Geometry students traveled to Mass MoCA recently to tour the Sol Lewitt exhibit. Renowned for separating concept from execution of his large-scale installations, Lewitt's instructions described different geometric forms to be interpreted and drawn by draftsmen. Top math students continue to rack up the accolades in recent competitions. Ji Won Ryoo '14 finished second in a field of 31,000 participants, and three students finished in the top 2% on the American Mathematics Exam and qualified for the Invitational. Sam Cabot '13, lead author of an astrophysics research paper, was recently notified that his work has been accepted for publication by the prestigious Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. His research relates to understanding the physical processes of the hot interstellar medium (ISM). Click here to learn more.
