Bears to Play in All-American Soccer Game

Mo Omar '18 and Ahria Simons '18 have been chosen to play in the 7th Annual Boys High School All-American Game.

Omar (Toronto, Canada) and Simons (Pembroke, Bermuda) were selected among 38 of the nation's top high school soccer players. The pair will play for the East Team at the game in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 2.

"Both Mo and Ahria have grown to be key members of the Berkshire team during their time under the Mountain," said boys varsity soccer coach Charlie Bour. "Each has his own strengths as a player, and their talent is undeniable. That said, their maturity, leadership, and team-first attitude have helped them earn the respect of their teammates and coaches alike."

Both four-year seniors at Berkshire and co-captains of the soccer team, Omar and Simons are among the latest Bears to be picked to play in the all-star game. Zeiko Lewis '13 (2012), Tanner Tomasi '14 (2013), Jack Harrison '15 (2014), Justin Donawa '15 (2014), Ifunanyachi Achara '16 (2015), Mutaya Mwapi '16 (2015), and Jules Oberg '17 (2016) have represented Berkshire since the game's inception in 2011.

The game will be webstreamed live at www.highschoolsoccerallamerican.com.
