Scholastic Publications’ Alliance for Young Artists and Writers and its co-sponsor, The Boston Globe, recently concluded their statewide search for the top high school student artists. The competition, now in its 87th year, is described as one of the longest standing and most prestigious young artist talent searches in the country.
Berkshire students submitted works to a variety of visual arts categories, including Drawing, Painting, Digital Art, Photography, Sculpture, Ceramics, and Architectural Design. Gold Key Award recipients will be entered into the national Scholastic Art competition, where senior portfolio entrants could earn up to $10,000 towards their college tuitions.
