Suggested Reading List

Listed below are some highly recommended books on topics relevant to the college search and admission process. Harvard Schmarvard and Colleges That Change Lives focus on colleges that, while they may be less widely known, provide their students with an excellent education. The Gate Keepers is a particularly timely and relevant look into the way that colleges market themselves and select students. The Early Admissions Game is admittedly a long book for such a narrow topic, but recommended for those who are interested in the "strategy" of applying early to colleges. Finally, The College Admission Mystique has some enlightening material, and is authored by a Berkshire School alumnus.
