Berkshire Girls’ Ice Hockey enters its eleventh season as one of the premiere prep school programs in New England. Since the 1998-99 season, the Bears’ last in Division II, the team has compiled a record of 221-46-17. During that span, the girls earned a Division II New England Championship (1999) and two Division I New England Championships (2003, 2006).

The program’s future is as bright as its past. In January of the 2008-2009 season, the girls moved into the new state-of-the-art athletic center with two sheets of ice, one Olympic size and one NHL, with stadium seating in the Olympic arena, a fitness and strength training center, an athletic training room, and spacious locker rooms for both Varsity and JV teams. The building was designed by the same architect who designed the Middlebury College hockey rink.
