Brey '10 Leads By Example

Charlie Brey '10 continues to leads by example on the soccer field.  At the end of his sophomore year at Lake Forest, Brey was the male recipient of the Midwest Conference's Sportsmanship Award for the 2011-2012 year.  On the heels of this award, Brey, a junior now, was selected to be a co-captain for his soccer team this coming season.

It should come as no surprise to people within the Berkshire community, as Brey had a distinguished career at Berkshire during his four years under the mountain.  In his senior year at Berkshire, he was the male Head Prefect of the school and served as Captain for the Boys' Varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse Teams. At graduation, he won the Headmaster's Prize and the Morris Trophy for proficiency and sportsmanship in athletics.  In his final two soccer seasons at Berkshire, he helped guide the Bears to back-to-back quarterfinals appearances in the New England Class B Tournament.

This upcoming soccer season, Brey hopes to lead Lake Forest to its first conference title in 12 years.  Winning the conference championship isn't the only thing on his mind - he is pursuing a degree in economics and history and wants to work in the field of financial planning and consulting after graduation.
