NSCAA All-Region Again & Preseason Pick for Offensive Player of the Year in Patriot League

Alassane Kane '09 knew how to find the net and dominate his opponents when he was here at Berkshire School. In the fall of 2009, Kane scored 22 goals and had 8 assists in just 19 matches.  Now entering his senior year at American University, Kane has shown he can dominate at any level.  In 2010, Kane led the Patriot League in scoring and earned a spot on the NSCAA All-Regional Team, and in 2011 Kane led American to the Patriot League Championship and earned a spot on the NSCAA All-Regional Team for a second time. Entering the 2012 season, Kane was selected as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, and he hopes to guide his team to a Patriot League Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.  The 2012 season is underway, and Kane has wasted no time making his mark.  With 4 goals and 1 assist through the first five games, Kane leads the league in scoring and points, and his team is currently #1 in the Patriot League. When asked about what he'd like to do after graduation, Kane says he'd like to play professionally in Europe or the US, but Kane, a political science major, is also considering law school.
