Casey Lyons '12 and Britt Brown '13
Every year, US Lacrosse announces an All-American team representative of the best high school players in the country. In 2012, there were three All-Americans named in the Western Massachusetts Chapter and two of these selections are Berkshire School students.
Casey Lyons ‘12, a repeat All-American from the 2011 season, finished her three-year Berkshire career with 211 goals and 54 assists in just 42 games. During her senior campaign, she also led the team in ground balls and draw controls and earned MVP honors for the third year in a row. Lyons also plays for the Canadian U-19 National Team and competed in the World Cup in 2011. She will continue her lacrosse career at Ohio State University where we know she’ll have an immediate impact.
Brittany Brown ’13 established herself as one of the top goalies in all of New England, earning spots on the Lower New England and Underarmour teams that competed in National Tournaments. She played every minute in net for the Bears and saved 131 shots in just 14 games. Brown has verbally committed to play at the University of Virginia and we are so lucky to have her at Berkshire for one more season.
